Conflict management was presented in Rome.

 

We focused on three models:

 

The Thomas-Kilmann model of conflict management, which gives you an insight in the different styles of handling conflict and their use.  In short, anyone in a conflict can always choose how to deal with that conflict: compete, collaborate, compromise, avoid or accommodate. 

​Each of these conflict management stryles has its own use, depending on the importance of the issue, the urgency, or the importance of the relationship, the degree of power or simply to what extent you are 'right'.

This model shows how conflicts escalate in nine stages, from hardening the positions up to 'together into the abyss'.
